Unit Price Calculator

Package sizes can make discounts difficult to compare. Enter two offers using the same measurement unit to see which has the lower unit cost.

How this calculator works

Unit price = package price ÷ package quantity. Difference per unit = higher unit price − lower unit price.

Example

₹240 for 12 costs ₹20 per unit; ₹350 for 20 costs ₹17.50 per unit, so option B is ₹2.50 cheaper per unit.

Using the result well

Enter amounts using one currency consistently. The calculator displays two decimal places for money, while its internal arithmetic keeps more precision. Receipts may differ by a small amount when a seller rounds each line item separately.

For a purchase or business decision, also consider delivery fees, product quality, return conditions, taxes and any eligibility rules. A calculated saving does not by itself prove that an offer is good value.

Frequently asked questions

Must both quantities use the same unit?

Yes. Convert both packages to the same unit first—for example, both in grams rather than one in grams and one in kilograms.

Does the cheapest unit price always mean best value?

Not always. Also consider quality, expiry, how much you will use and storage.
